My Holiday

On the school holidays I’m going on a four  weekly  trip to Hawaii and the U.S. I’m really excited for this holiday because this is my first ever time I’m been out of Australia besides New Zeal and.

I’m at the airport ready to go to our first destination ,Sydney. We arrived at Sydney and getting ready to go on the bus from the domestic terminal to the international departures, it’s a long way to the Sydney international terminal. When we got out of the bus we went straight to gate 8.  In the middle of finding gate 8 the security guard wouldn’t let us through as He was only letting people that were going to Singapore through so we had to wait 20 minutes that felt like for ever. 20 minutes later the security guard let us through. Then me and my mum raced up to gate 8 and started to look for two seats but there were no more seats left so we sat on the floor. Mum and i were waiting for and very long time so we decide that we will go and get some thing so eat. The plane is here and we are boarding.

Finally after 11 hours of flying time we arrive at our destination…ALOHA! After being greeted with the traditional Lei and drink our bus was waiting for all passengers to arrive so we can get to our Hotel. It is very interesting watching the drivers driving on the left hand side. After 5 mins of travelling on the bus we see Beach, not any famous beach but it was water, sand and surf.

Ah finally the hotel.. Aston Sunset Waikiki very nice indeed. I need a sleep feeling tired

Woke up after 4 hrs of sleep, sunshine still left what to do. Mum and I head off to Waikiki City to look at things. We found a school where they were having a Easter hunt. I forgot I celebrated Good Friday twice, First in Australia then in Hawaii. So then when the  Easter egg hunt was done we went down the street walking and we went to the market and had a look at the things that were there; like the dresses, jewellery, gadgets and novelties. We got out of the market and started to look around for the beach. So we found the beach and when we did we just stood there and said ‘wow’ to the beautiful crystal clear water.

The sand was clean and white, the water was crisp and clear. I could see fish swimming in the water and I could see my feet touching the sand under the water. This is paradise just to the water and the feeling of the sand going between my toes.

When we went back to the hotel and we had a swim in the pool and the played on the tennis court. It is a very nice place to stay, the views from our room is amazing, we get to see the hills and mountains in the distance. It is getting darker and we are going to eat in and laze around. The lights of Waikiki is amazing.

We went to watch a rock show on the strip, I met Bret Michaels from the 80’s band Poison and Steve Tyler from Aerosmith. They were cool.

We went on a tour which picked us up from our Hotel first stop Hanauma Bay, the bay is formed within a volcanic cone. We made our way to Diamond Head also another volcanic cone. Nuuanu Pali Lookout is a historical landmark, the views through the Pali Tunnels were used in the Battle of Nuuanu. Pali means cliff.

We packed and left Hawaii for Los Angeles. This place is mad, we went to Hollywood Boulevard and walked the hollywood walk of fame. I saw lots of famous names, there was lots of people dressed as characters from famous movies walking down the strip.
